Nerve Pain

Nerve Pain

Nerve pain, also referred to as neuropathic pain, commonly occurs after an injury and can be difficult to diagnose and treat. There are a wide variety of symptoms associated with nerve pain, and conditions typically vary based on the pain source and the type of nerves causing the pain.

While minor nerve injuries can often be treated with minimally invasive techniques or alternative medicine, there are other more serious conditions that may need more agressive treatment.

A common nerve condition treated at Scottsdale Liberty Hospital is Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). CRPS can cause both tingling or burning sensations in the affected area(s). CRPS can also have associated symptoms of changes in skin color, swelling of the affected area, or changes in skin temperature at the affected area. For those suffering from the chronic pain caused by CRPS, there are treatment options available.

Scottsdale Liberty Hospital offers several treatment options for CRPS.  These treatment options can include injection therapy, alternative medicine, or surgery.
